End User License Agreement (EULA)

Duplicate Cleaner: Photo & AI is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

You can view the full terms of Apple’s Standard EULA here: Apple Standard EULA (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).

1. Introduction

Duplicate Cleaner: Photo & AI (the “app”) is made by MayaTechLab (“we”, “our”, or “us”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, what leaves your device, who receives it, and the choices you have.

By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the applicable End User License Agreement (EULA).

2. Summary

- Your photos, videos, contacts, calendars and Private Vault items are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- The app shows no ads and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- The app does not collect your name, email address or phone number.
- We collect basic usage information and crash reports to improve the app. You can switch this off at any time, and in the UK, EU and EEA it stays off unless you agree.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Our subscription provider receives your purchase history, but never your payment details.
- We do not sell your personal data.

3. Information That Stays on Your Device

The app needs access to some of your personal content to do its job. All of the processing below happens on your iPhone or iPad. None of this content is sent to our servers or to any third party.

A. Photos & Videos

With your permission, the app reads your photo library (photos, videos and their metadata such as size, date and location tags) to find duplicates, similar photos, similar videos, screenshots and other clutter, and to compress photos and videos. Items you delete go to the Photos app’s “Recently Deleted” album, where you can restore them.

B. Contacts

With your permission, the app reads your contacts (names, phone numbers, email addresses and other contact fields) to find and merge duplicates, delete contacts you choose, and move contacts in and out of your Private Vault. Before a merge or deletion, the app saves a backup of the affected contacts on your device so you can restore them.

C. Calendars

With your permission, the app reads the calendars on your device to find duplicate, long-past and declined events. Before events are removed, the app saves a copy of them on your device so they are not lost.

D. Private Vault

Photos, videos and contacts you move into the Private Vault are encrypted and stored only inside the app on your device. The Vault is unlocked with Face ID (or your device passcode). We cannot see or recover Vault contents.

For your security, the Vault is not included in iCloud or computer backups. If you delete the app or lose your device, Vault contents cannot be recovered, so please export anything you want to keep first.

4. Information We Collect

A. Usage Information and Crash Reports

If you allow it, the app sends basic usage information and crash reports to Google Firebase (Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics). This includes:
- Which screens and features are used, for example that a scan was started or a cleanup completed, and whether the subscription screen was shown
- Crash reports and diagnostic information
- Device model, iOS version, app version and language
- A random app-instance identifier created by Firebase
- Your approximate location (country or region), which Google estimates from your IP address

This information is not linked to your name or contact details, and it never includes your photos, videos, contacts, calendar events or Vault items. Advertising features in Firebase are switched off. We use this information only to fix problems and improve the app.

Your choice: If your device region is in the United Kingdom, the European Union or the European Economic Area, nothing is collected unless you agree when the app asks. Everywhere else, collection is on by default. In every region you can turn it off at any time in the app’s Settings under “Help improve the app”. When it is off, the Firebase SDK is not started and sends nothing.

B. Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive your name, email address or payment card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and subscription status, a random identifier for the app installation, and basic device information. If you installed the app from an Apple Search Ads advertisement, Apple’s attribution token tells us which campaign led to the download. This is used to unlock Pro features, restore purchases and understand which campaigns work. It is not used to track you.

5. Tracking and Advertising

The app does not show ads and does not track you, as Apple defines “tracking”. We do not access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not share data with data brokers or advertising networks.

The app includes Meta’s (Facebook) software development kit for possible future advertising measurement. It is currently switched off: it is not started and sends no data. If we ever switch it on, we will update this Privacy Policy first, and the app will ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking takes place.

6. How We Use Information

We use information only to:
- Provide the app’s features (finding duplicates, cleaning, compressing, the Private Vault)
- Unlock and restore your purchases
- Find and fix crashes and bugs
- Understand which features are used, so we can improve them

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

We share information only with the service providers below, and only for the purposes described above:
- Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting): firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- RevenueCat (subscription management): revenuecat.com/privacy
- Apple (App Store purchases and Apple Search Ads attribution): apple.com/legal/privacy

These providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under their own privacy policies and data-protection safeguards. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

8. Permissions We Request

The app asks for each permission only when you use the feature that needs it:
- Photos: to find duplicates and clutter, and to compress photos and videos
- Add to Photos: to save items you export from your Private Vault
- Contacts: to find, merge and delete duplicate contacts, and for the Private Vault
- Calendars: to find duplicate and old events
- Face ID: to unlock your Private Vault
- Notifications: to tell you when a weekly check finds new clutter

You can change or revoke any permission at any time in your device’s Settings.

9. Data Retention and Security

Content on your device, including backups, archived events and the Private Vault, stays there until you delete it or delete the app. Usage information and crash reports are kept by Google Firebase for a limited time under our retention settings and then deleted automatically. Purchase records are kept by RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide your subscription and meet legal requirements.

We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, including encryption of the Private Vault and encrypted connections (HTTPS) to our service providers.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You can:
- Turn off usage information and crash reports at any time in the app’s Settings (“Help improve the app”)
- Revoke any permission in your device’s Settings
- Delete the content the app keeps on your device by deleting the app
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings
- Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held by our service providers about you

Depending on where you live (for example in the UK, EU, EEA or California), you may have additional rights under data-protection laws. In those regions we rely on your consent for usage information and crash reports, and on the need to provide the service for purchases. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. If a change affects how your data is used, for example if we start tracking or advertising measurement, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

13. End User License Agreement (EULA)

Your license to download and use Duplicate Cleaner: Photo & AI is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

You can view and read the complete Apple Standard EULA terms at:
